Zhi Jin (Justin) Zhang

Justin grew up in Toronto, where he attended Dr. Norman Bethune Collegiate Institute for high school. He received the B.A.Sc. degree with High Honours in Engineering Science and the M.A.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2017 and 2019, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a minor in Industrial Engineering, from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2024. He served as Chair of the IEEE Power Electronics Society Atlanta Chapter from 2019 to 2024 and has internship experience with Rocscience, Alectra Utilities, and Tesla.
Outside of work, Justin is an amateur flutist, a soccer fan, and a history enthusiast.
